Emergency aid is the smallest line in our budget and the one we are proudest of. We help with one-off rent payments, urgent medical bills not covered by EOPYY, glasses, dentures for grandparents who cook for grandchildren, and replacement white goods after a flood. Every emergency request goes through Stavros and is decided within 48 hours by a three-person panel (Stavros + Petros + a trustee). In 2024 we approved 197 emergency requests; the average grant was €312.
