We deliver a standard monthly food parcel to families on the municipal social services list across nine Athens neighbourhoods. Each parcel weighs around 14 kg and contains pasta, rice, pulses, tinned fish, olive oil, sugar, salt, UHT milk, breakfast cereal, fresh seasonal fruit and a small treat for each child in the family. Parcels are delivered, not collected — because we believe in dignity, and because the bus journey to a food bank is part of why people stop coming. Cost per parcel: €18.40. The full breakdown, with supplier names and per-item cost, is published quarterly.
